Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani made these remarks at a press briefing ahead of the informal meeting of foreign ministers in Wicklow, Ireland. “We are not opposed to this in principle, but we need to see whether there is a legal basis for doing so,” added the head of the Italian Foreign Ministry, referring to the request by some countries to confiscate frozen Russian assets and allocate them to Ukraine.
