Frankfurt (Germany), 5 Sept. (LaPresse) – Turnout is very high for the regional elections in Saxony-Anhalt. As reported by ARD, 54.4 per cent of eligible voters had cast their ballots by 2.00 pm, according to figures from the regional election commissioner. At the same time in the previous elections in 2021, turnout stood at 27.1 per cent. This figure is based on sample surveys carried out at representative polling stations and does not currently include postal votes. The final regional turnout figure, including both postal votes and those cast at polling stations, will be recorded from 6.00 pm and announced alongside the provisional results.
