Rome, 8 Sept. (LaPresse) – The United Kingdom is to ban the import of goods from Israeli settlements in the West Bank. This was announced by Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband in the House of Commons. Miliband spoke of a “new approach” in which the government “does not merely denounce injustice and suffering, but takes action”. The British Foreign Secretary added that the “dispute” is not with the people of Israel but with “the conduct of its government”, reiterating that the UK supports a two-state solution.
