Turin, 10 Sept. (LaPresse) – The most famous little black dress in royal history is set to go under the hammer. This December, Princess Diana’s ‘revenge dress’ will be auctioned for the first time in almost thirty years. The black silk creation by Christina Stambolian – worn by Diana at a party at the Serpentine Gallery in London in June 1994 – will be the centrepiece of an evening fashion auction to be held at Sotheby’s in New York on 9 December. It is estimated to be worth between $150,000 and $300,000. Part of the proceeds will go towards supporting the NHS Lothian Charity, on behalf of the Royal Hospital in Edinburgh.
