Yemen: Houthis capture the town of Mocha on the Red Sea

Turin, 10 Sept. (LaPresse) – The pro-Iranian Houthi rebels have taken control of the city of Mocha on the Red Sea in Yemen. According to an Al Jazeera correspondent in Yemen, sources have confirmed that the city has been captured and that government forces have completely withdrawn all their military units. The news outlet reports that this move gives the Houthis a crucial strategic advantage: preventing ships from passing through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and, more importantly, cutting off three of the main supply lines for government forces in the south of the country.
