France: Mastermind behind the robbery of Donnarumma sentenced to nine years in prison

Rome, 12 Sept. (LaPresse) – Ilyas Kherbouch, the mastermind behind the burglary at the Paris flat of former Paris Saint-Germain player Gianluigi Donnarumma and his partner on 21 July 2023, has been sentenced by a Paris court to nine years’ imprisonment. This has been reported by the French media. The prosecution had sought a ten-year sentence for the 21-year-old, who was accused of organising the operation from his prison cell. Seven men carried out the robbery, during which the national team goalkeeper and his pregnant wife were assaulted. Some of them have not been identified. Within a few minutes, the criminals made off with cash, jewellery, watches and luxury handbags, valued by the Italian national team goalkeeper at just under one million euros.
