Tehran (Iran), Sept. 12 (LaPresse) – The Iranian people will not surrender to U.S. economic pressure. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said this during a meeting in New Delhi with religious leaders, members of the Indian elite and businesspeople, according to the official Irna news agency. “Since the United States cannot force Iranians to surrender through intimidation, it seeks to make them capitulate because of problems related to livelihoods and the lack of facilities. However, the Iranian people will not surrender,” Pezeshkian said. The Iranian president condemned the U.S. naval blockade and economic war against Iran, arguing that Washington does not want his country to be independent. “But we will not bow to its intimidation and bullying,” he added.
