Turin, 15 Sept. (LaPresse) – A Russian frigate fired signal flares at one of the Danish Armed Forces’ helicopters whilst it was in international waters off Gedser. This was reported by the Copenhagen-based armed forces in a statement quoted by the media. The statement notes that the helicopter came under fire whilst carrying out routine photographic surveillance of the frigate. One of the flares fired passed close to the helicopter. According to the Defence Minister, there was no damage to either the helicopter or the personnel on board.
