Turin, 16 Sept. (LaPresse) – Russia has targeted the plane carrying Volodymyr Zelensky twice with drones in recent weeks. The Ukrainian president himself made this statement in an interview with CBS News. “My presidential plane was in Moldova, and that is why they attacked Moldova,” said Zelensky. “When we returned home, passing through Chisinau again, they did the same thing.” The Ukrainian leader reported that one or two drones had also entered Moldovan airspace during his return journey to Ukraine, which took place a couple of days later. This incident had not previously been made public. In recent days, a Russian drone struck a passenger train carrying foreign officials visiting Ukraine, including prominent European politicians and former CIA director David Petraeus. “Perhaps they didn’t know there were some Americans on board, or, on the contrary, they did know – because I don’t trust them. I think they knew,” Zelenskyy said. “That is why, with Europeans, Americans and such an important delegation on board that train, they attacked.”
