In footage released by the Kremlin, Putin is seen sitting at a computer in his office, reading the text on the screen and clicking a few times. He then steps away from the computer and makes a gesture with his hands to indicate that he has completed the process. The message ‘Thank you, you have voted successfully’ appears on the screen. After casting his vote, Putin thanked the press in attendance. In recent years, the Russian president has preferred to use the electronic method to cast his vote.
