This was reported by the police and emergency services. Among the victims are several officers who were attending prayers at the mosque. The coordinated attack, which took place in Kohat – a district in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – is the latest in a series of militant violence in the region bordering Afghanistan, where the Pakistani Taliban have stepped up attacks against the police and other security forces, whilst the government is stepping up operations against the group.
