Turin, 20 Sept. (LaPresse) – “In response to the attacks by the Kyiv regime against civilian targets on Russian territory, the armed forces of the Russian Federation will continue and intensify precision strikes against military targets in Kyiv.” This was announced in a statement by the Ministry of Defence in Moscow, accusing Ukraine of carrying out a massive attack “with the aim of disrupting the elections, but the attempt is said to have failed”. According to Moscow, over the course of 24 hours, Russian air defences shot down 1,951 Ukrainian drones and eight long-range cruise missiles over Russian regions. The ministry also stated that all ‘Flamingo’ missiles launched from Kyiv were destroyed by Russian air defences as they approached civilian targets in the Moscow region.
