Kyiv (Ukraine), 23 Sept. (LaPresse) – Overnight, Russia launched attacks on businesses and warehouses in Ukraine, injuring seven people across the country. The Russian Ministry of Defence stated that its forces carried out ‘coordinated attacks’ using drones against Ukrainian ‘military-industrial and energy facilities, logistics centres and ships’. According to Moscow, a warehouse and an industrial plant used for the storage and production of drones were hit in Kyiv and the surrounding region. The military administration of the Ukrainian capital reported that three people were injured in the city, adding that a warehouse in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv was damaged and caught fire, whilst a petrol station and an office building in the same district sustained damage. In the Solomianskyi district, debris from the drones fell in open areas between residential buildings. In the Darnytskyi district, debris fell in an open area in a non-residential zone and a petrol station was damaged. In the Zhytomyr region, west of Kyiv, two people were injured in a Russian attack on a business. In Zaporizhzhia, in south-eastern Ukraine, two men aged 37 and 39 were injured following an attack that caused a major fire in a shopping centre. Emergency services reported that the fire spread over approximately 6,000 square metres before being brought under control.
