In the Gulf, we must revive dialogue and call on Iran to abandon all nuclear threats and all aggressive policies towards other countries in the region”. This was stated by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, speaking at the UN General Assembly. Tajani argued that “attacks on shipping in the Red Sea must cease, just as Russia’s reckless attacks on Ukrainian wheat exports to Africa in the Black Sea must end”. He pointed out that these are “crises that, on the surface, seem distant, but which affect everyone’s households: they drive up the prices of energy, cereals, bread and fertilisers. They hit businesses, agriculture and families.”
