Iran, Araghchi: “Our conditions are clear, we are awaiting US response through mediators”

Milan, Sept. 27 (LaPresse) – Iran has seen an initial reaction from US President Donald Trump to its proposal to resolve the crisis, but has not yet received Washington’s definitive response through mediators. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told the Iranian state news agency Irna, as cited by Iran International. Araghchi told Irna that Tehran is waiting for the mediators to communicate the position of the United States and will decide how to proceed based on that response. “Only a negotiated solution can get them out of this deadlock. This is our position,” he said. “Our conditions are clear,” he added, “any move aimed at reopening the Strait of Hormuz is contingent on compliance with these conditions.”
