(LaPresse) – The AfD is working on organising an economic forum in 2027 with representatives from Germany, Russia and the United States, at which it also intends to discuss the future of Nord Stream and the resumption of economic cooperation with Moscow. This was stated by Markus Frohnmaier, deputy leader of the AfD in the Bundestag, to the Russian newspaper Izvestia, as reported by Ukrainksa Pravda. Frohnmaier confirmed that the party is in contact with Kirill Dmitriev, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s special envoy for economic cooperation and investment. “We are in contact with Dmitriev. Details of the venue will be published in due course,” said the AfD representative. Among the issues the party intends to raise at the forum are Nord Stream and economic cooperation. Dmitriev had already expressed Russia’s willingness to organise a Russian-German-American economic forum in 2027 with the participation of the AfD.
