The news was reported from Warsaw and confirmed by sources within the Ukrainian Border Guard Service, as cited by Ukrainska Pravda. The Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, stated in a post on X: “Another Russian attack in western Ukraine. A jet-powered drone struck Ukrainian territory, approximately 2 km from the Dorohusk border crossing with Poland.” The Polish Deputy Prime Minister clarified that “there was no violation of Polish airspace” and added that “our air defence systems and aircraft were ready for action” and “once the alert was lifted, the aircraft returned to their bases and the defence systems reverted to observation and standby mode”. “The shockwave damaged the checkpoint building at the entrance to the terminal. No casualties or injuries have been reported,” said Roman Romaniuk, head of the military administration of the Volyn Oblast, as quoted by Ukrainska Pravda.
