Milan, 2 Oct. (LaPresse) – “Europe must take a step forward in security and defence. It is no longer enough to set objectives and make political commitments: we must be able to swiftly translate them into capabilities, resources and concrete actions.” This was stated by the Minister of Defence, Guido Crosetto, who today met in Rome, at the Ministry’s headquarters, with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas. The discussion focused primarily on strengthening Operation Aspides and the security of trade routes in the Red Sea and the Mediterranean, as well as developments in the international landscape, European defence and security capabilities, and the situation in Lebanon.
