Milan, 2 Oct. (LaPresse) – The French Minister of Justice, Gérald Darmanin, has asked prosecutors to hold parents civilly liable for damage caused by their children during school protests, so that they may be required to pay compensation. Darmanin spoke on the French radio station RTL. Since the start of the movement, around 2,000 people have been taken into custody, “90 per cent of whom are minors”, whilst a third of those arrested were detained for acts of violence against individuals, the minister stated.
