Rome, Oct. 5 (LaPresse) – OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said there is a fundamental difference in vision between his company and rival Anthropic regarding artificial intelligence regulation, arguing in an exclusive interview with Decoded that the benefits of the technology justify accepting some risks and that AI should remain broadly accessible to the public. “I think there is still a long way to go,” Altman told Brendan Bordelon, co-author of Decoded. “We believe the world has to accept that bad things will happen for the benefits that this technology offers people and for the decision-making power they have.” He was responding to a specific question about how his position differs from that of Anthropic and its CEO Dario Amodei.
