Washington (US), 9 Oct. (LaPresse) – The Pentagon has announced that the execution by firing squad of Nidal Malik Hasan, the perpetrator of the Fort Hood mass shooting, will be streamed live. The announcement comes after Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth stated that the execution would be “public”. Speaking on Wednesday on the conservative television channel Real America’s Voice News, Hegseth said that Hasan’s execution would take place at Fort Hood on 3 December. Hasan was convicted of killing 13 people and wounding a further 32 during a shooting at the military base in 2009. “We will ensure that people can watch it, that it is public,” said Hegseth.
