Rome, 11 Oct. (LaPresse) – The Houthis have claimed responsibility for Saturday’s attack on King Khalid Airport in Riyadh, which left 12 people dead and at least 300 injured. In a statement, spokesperson Yahya Saree said that the Yemeni group had carried out several operations against the airport, “causing the suspension of air traffic and the complete closure of the airport”. The airport remained closed on Sunday as well. Among the other targets – as reported by Al Jazeera – were a petrol station affiliated with the Saudi state-owned oil giant Aramco and an oil refinery in the Eastern Province, as well as King Fahd Airport in Dammam.
