(LaPresse) – Russia also hears “the other voice of Italy”, namely that “of opposition politicians, activists and civil society, academics, musicians, priests, university lecturers, entrepreneurs, journalists, teachers, doctors, bloggers, students, workers, farmers and ordinary citizens” that is, those who “oppose Italy’s involvement in a war against Russia – a goal towards which the hotheads in Kyiv and their mentors in Brussels are working with zeal” – and those who “have not forgotten how Rome’s participation in the Third Reich’s campaign in Russia ended back then”. This was stated in an interview with TASS by the Russian ambassador to Italy, Alexey Paramonov. “In the current era of transition, in which the foundations are being laid for a new and fairer multipolar world order, we wish all Italian citizens of sound judgement – regardless of their political affiliations or the social or religious organisations to which they belong – every success in countering local geopolitical obscurantists, revanchists and warmongers,” he concluded.
