New York (New York, US), 12 Oct. (LaPresse/AP) – US President Donald Trump will have to withdraw all publicly funded television adverts still scheduled to promote his political message. This was ruled by US District Judge Jennifer L. Rochon, who upheld the case brought by a coalition challenging the adverts, including the non-partisan organisation Common Cause, which described them as an unlawful use of public funds. In a temporary restraining order, the judge ordered the Trump administration to cancel all remaining adverts, including those scheduled to air on Sunday evening.
