Rome, 15 Oct. (LaPresse) – The Trump administration is reportedly quietly orchestrating a major diplomatic manoeuvre in the Middle East, pushing for a broad unity government in Israel which would initially be led by Benjamin Netanyahu, who would subsequently, after around two years, step aside and withdraw from political life. This is according to the Israeli media outlet Israel Hayom. The national unity government would work to end the wars on all fronts and would promote diplomatic agreements with countries in the region, primarily Saudi Arabia, in exchange for the Israeli leader’s resignation after serving a limited term. The government would be led by Likud and would include the Yashar party, led by Gadi Eisenkot.
