Washington (US), 15 Oct. (LaPresse) – The execution of Nidal Malik Hasan, the perpetrator of the Fort Hood massacre, will not be live-streamed, contrary to what had been announced by Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth. Donald Trump made the announcement in a post on Truth. “I believe that streaming the execution, so that everyone could see it, would have served as a powerful deterrent, showing the world how America deals with terrorists and scum like Hasan; however, many decent, well-meaning people would prefer not to see him die, either via live stream or through any other visual medium. He will die, as planned, by firing squad, but the event will not be streamed,” said the US President. “The execution may be attended in person by the victims’ closest family members, should they so wish. They deserve to witness the triumph of justice!” he concluded.
