Frankfurt (Germany), 17 Oct. (LaPresse) – “A freeze on US sanctions, the easing of pressure on the aggressor and financial rewards for Putin only encourage him to continue attacking.” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote this on X, criticising the US decision to “completely ignore the Lindsey Graham Act”, which was intended to exert effective pressure on Russia to end the war. “This law could have been of enormous help, and it still can be. But it must be effectively enforced, and every voice in its support counts,” Zelensky emphasised. “It is important that everyone in America sees what is really happening,” added the Ukrainian president, referring to the massive Russian bombardments of the country’s energy infrastructure. “We must not give ground. We must continue to try to end the war. End it, not give Putin every reason to continue it indefinitely,” he concluded.
