Milan, 18 Oct. (LaPresse) – “I am addressing you this evening at a time of extreme gravity. Yesterday, Saturday 17 October, hooligans belonging to far-left fringe groups, joined by numerous criminals, looted shops and destroyed public buildings. Why set fire to Limoges Town Hall, the Tourist Office in Lyon, storm Marseille Town Hall or attack the prefect’s residence in Bordeaux? How could they have gone this far? Nothing justifies it. Nothing explains it. Nothing excuses it.” So said French President Emmanuel Macron in his address to the nation, which began at 8 pm.
