Milan, 22 Oct. (LaPresse) – French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that the government’s line for the coming days, and in particular for October 24, is to ban requests for rallies from people “who have no legitimacy to do so,” meaning demonstrations not called by unions will be banned “wherever possible.” Where “union organizations present such demands, they will be organized by prefects, but they will be offered alternative routes to protect our city centers, our shops and our public buildings,” Macron said, adding that “the general recommendation is that there be no demonstrations in the coming days.”
