Milan, 23 Oct. (LaPresse) – Over half a million Ukrainians have been left without electricity following Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy sector overnight and this morning. This was reported by the Ukrainian Deputy Minister for Energy, Artem Nekrasov, as quoted by Unian, who specified that the Russians had attacked energy infrastructure in the regions of Zhytomyr, Volyn, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi and Rivne. He added that repairs are underway in the regions of Odessa and Ternopil to address the damage caused by previous attacks. “There are also new power cuts in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions due to ongoing shelling and hostilities,” writes Unian.
