Rome, Oct. 27 (LaPresse) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has arrived in Helsinki following a phone call by Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre with Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin, and subsequently with Volodymyr Zelensky. “The Nordic countries are our closest allies and our destinies are intertwined, just as they were a thousand years ago,” he added. “Thank you, Finland, and thank you to all our Nordic friends for everything you are already doing for Ukraine.” “Today,” Sybiha added, “I will meet with senior Finnish officials, my Finnish counterpart Elina Valtonen, and colleagues from Norway and Denmark.” “We will also hold a separate trilateral meeting with the foreign ministers of Finland and Norway to discuss peace efforts and coordinate the decisions agreed upon by our leaders in Oslo,” he explained. “Tomorrow, I will address the Nordic Council session for the first time. The priorities of our talks are dictated by Russia’s daily terror. These include air defense to protect our skies this winter, equipment for our energy sector and shelters, an area in which Finland leads the relevant coalition, and joint weapons production for our soldiers,” Sybiha concluded.
