Milan, 31 Oct. (LaPresse) – Demonstrations are planned for this evening across Israel to call for the formation of an Arab-Jewish government. Organisers from the Standing Together group have announced that demonstrations will take place at 7.30 pm (6.30 pm in Italy) in Habima Square in Tel Aviv, Paris Square in Jerusalem, as well as in Beersheba, Haifa and Tayibe, to call for the formation of such a government following Tuesday’s elections, which failed to produce a clear majority. This is reported by The Times of Israel. “The Jewish-Arab majority that voted for change must also be represented in the next government. This is not the time to abandon our partnership, but to transform it into a political force capable of changing reality,” the organisers stated, “Arab votes are worth exactly the same as Jewish votes, and Arab citizens must be full partners in shaping the country’s future.”
