Washington (USA), Nov. 2 (LaPresse) – A federal judge has dismissed the case against two former FBI officials, Nikki Floris and Bradley Benavides, accused of lying to Congress as part of a parliamentary investigation focused on the FBI’s alleged attempt to downplay corruption allegations against the Biden family and evidence relating to Hunter Biden’s laptop. Judge Zia Faqui ruled that there was insufficient evidence to proceed with the charges, saying he was “deeply troubled by what happened in this case” and stating that the investigation was based solely on assumptions and had been launched at the direction of President Trump. The case, he said, could be considered “nothing other than a weaponization”.
