Austin (Texas, USA), Nov. 4 (LaPresse) – “We have just won Texas back”. These words, spoken by Democrat James Talarico in front of supporters after his victory in the Texas Senate race, in which he defeated Republican Ken Paxton, sent the crowd into jubilant cheers. “We are tired of being told to hate each other” and “we did not win this race by alienating our neighbors or humiliating them”, Talarico said. “This victory is for every Texan who has ever wondered whether anyone was listening to them”, he added. “I heard you. We heard you. And tonight, the world is listening to you”.
