Tehran (Iran), Nov. 4 (LaPresse) – “If there are still those who entertain little hope of a change in behaviour or of changes in the partisan and factional composition of the governing system, or who imagine that by making concessions to America they can dissuade it from its hostility towards the Iranian nation, they are very much mistaken.” This is what Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, said in a message marking the National Day of the Fight Against Global Arrogance, commenting on the results of the US midterm elections. The Mehr news agency reports this. “This false belief is indicative of ingratitude for the great achievements that the Muslim nation of Iran has attained through trust, perseverance and struggle,” he added. “The desire of the Great Satan is the unconditional surrender of the Iranian nation, and the slightest inclination to surrender to the dominant enemy would squander the enormous capital gained through the blessing of the martyrs’ blood and the sacrifice of members of the nation, and would encourage the arrogant enemy to seek and wage increasingly audacious wars.”
