Rome, 6 Nov. (LaPresse) – Between 29 October and 4 November, Russian forces deployed 7,947 Lancet and Molniya attack drones at the tactical level. The Ukrainian Defence Forces neutralised almost 91 per cent of them. This was announced by the Ukrainian General Staff on Facebook, as reported by Ukrinform. Military leaders emphasise that the battle for control of the skies is not only taking place over populated areas in the rear, where Shahed-type drones – both conventional and jet-powered – are intercepted, but is also being fought daily along the front line; indeed, the stability of the front line itself, the safety of the communities situated close to it and the lives of civilians depend on it. “Between 29 October and 4 November, the enemy deployed 7,947 of these drones. Our units neutralised 7,225 of them, equivalent to almost 91 per cent. The peak in the deployment of Molniya drones was recorded on 30 October, with 1,609 units launched in a single day. Over the course of the week, the enemy launched an average of over 1,100 drones of this type per day,” the statement reads.
