Warsaw (Poland), Sept. 30 (LaPresse/AP) – A Ukrainian man suspected of involvement in the underwater explosions that damaged the Nord Stream gas pipelines between Russia and Germany in 2022 has been arrested in Poland. This was announced by a spokesperson for the Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office. Volodymyr Z. was arrested in Pruszkow, central Poland, according to Polish radio station RMF FM, which first reported his capture. He was transferred to the Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office. He was the subject of a European arrest warrant issued by the German authorities. Another Ukrainian citizen was arrested in Italy last month in connection with the explosion of undersea gas pipelines built to transport Russian natural gas to Germany via the Baltic Sea.
