Ukraine, Meloni: ‘France-UK proposal complex, we will not send Italian soldiers’

Rome, 3rd March (LaPresse) – ‘Italy is participating with its frankness’ in the debate on how to achieve a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, ‘I have expressed various concerns about the Franco-British proposal, while thanking my colleagues, to send European soldiers advanced by France to Great Britain. Italy has expressed its doubts, in my opinion it is very complex to implement, I am not convinced of its effectiveness, which is why, as you know, we have said that we will not send Italian soldiers to Ukraine, but it is certainly a moment in which all those who are making proposals are doing something useful in the attempt to find a solution’. So said the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, interviewed during the episode of ‘XXI Secolo’ broadcast this evening on Rai1.
