Football, Tonali: “Serie A is getting better and better, I’ll return but not now”

Milan, Oct. 9 (LaPresse) – “Return to Serie A? It’s hard to say right now — you never know what will happen. But I always say yes, because for an Italian there’s always the desire to come back home. Maybe not now, because I’m happy with everything at the moment. But I’ll never close the door.”
That’s what Italy midfielder Sandro Tonali said to the FIGC’s social media channels from the national team’s training camp in Coverciano, ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against Estonia and Israel. Tonali also said that the Italian league “is becoming more and more exciting every year, with stronger teams that are raising Serie A’s technical level.” Finally, he commented on Manchester United legend Paul Scholes’ words, who described him as the best midfielder in the Premier League. “Vicario told me about it, but whenever compliments come from such great players it’s always a surprise and feels amazing,” Tonali concluded.
