M5S: Conte confirmed as president with 89.3% of votes in favour

Rome, 26 October (LaPresse) – Giuseppe Conte has been confirmed as president of the M5S with 89.3% of votes in favour. At 6 p.m., voting by members for the election of the president of the Five Star Movement came to a close: out of 101,783 members eligible to vote, 59,720 cast their ballots, equal to 58.67%. When asked, “Are you in favour of electing Giuseppe Conte as president of the Five Star Movement association?”, 53,353 voted “yes” and 6,367 voted “no”. Therefore, in accordance with the Statute, Giuseppe Conte is declared elected president of the Five Star Movement.
