Turin, Nov. 16 (LaPresse) – “This year we are close to 230,000 attendees, almost double compared to the first year, when we were dealing with Covid. The percentage of international spectators has slightly decreased, overwhelmed by the passion and desire for tennis in our country,” said the president of the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation, Angelo Binaghi, at the closing press conference of the ATP Finals in Turin, presenting the final tournament figures. The event recorded a total of 229,879 attendees, 93% more than in 2021, the first edition hosted by the Piedmontese capital, still affected by the pandemic, which had drawn 119,136 spectators. Regarding the economic impact, “we are close to €600 million,” Binaghi specified. Specifically, the direct impact amounts to €264.9 million, the indirect impact to €226.4 million, and the induced impact to €99.8 million, for a total of €591 million. Tax revenue reached €92.3 million, with 4,142 jobs created or maintained thanks to the event.
