Venezuela: Colombian president calls urgent UN meeting

Rome, Jan. 3 (LaPresse) – Following reports of explosions in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas, the president of neighboring Colombia spoke of an attack on Venezuela. “At this moment Caracas is under bombardment. Alert for everyone: Venezuela has been attacked. They are launching missiles,” wrote head of state Gustavo Petro on X. “The Organization of American States and the United Nations should meet immediately,” he urged.
