Journalism, Mattarella: ‘It is an antidote to abuse and manipulation of power’

Rome, 15 January (LaPresse) – ‘Free journalism is an antidote to abuse and manipulation by public and private powers, to opacity and lies, allowing the possibility of forming an independent opinion based on a rigorous representation of the facts.’ So said the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, speaking during a meeting at the Quirinale with participants in the 30th anniversary of the Venice Seminar for the British press.
