Greenland, Trump publishes message from Macron: ‘G7 with Russians and dinner in Paris’

Milan, 20 January (LaPresse) – US President Donald Trump posted a screenshot on his social media account Truth of a message allegedly sent to him by Emmanuel Macron, in which the French president proposes to organise a G7 meeting in Paris on Thursday afternoon, to which he could also invite the Russians and the Danes, to discuss Greenland. In the message, which sources close to Macron have confirmed as authentic to both CNN and BFMTV, the French president also invites Trump to dine together in Paris on Thursday evening. “My friend, we are perfectly aligned on Syria and we can do great things on Iran. I don’t understand what you are doing in Greenland,‘ reads Macron’s message. And again: ’Let’s try to build great things: 1) I can organise a G7 meeting after Davos in Paris on Thursday afternoon. I can invite the Ukrainians, the Danes, the Syrians and the Russians on the sidelines. 2) Let’s have dinner together in Paris on Thursday before you return to the United States.”
