Greenland, Tajani: ‘Its future lies in the hands of the Greenlanders and the Danes’

Rome, 22 January (LaPresse) – ‘The government has clearly stated that the future of Greenland lies solely in the hands of the Greenlanders and the Danes. And Europe must support them without hesitation. This position was reiterated on 6 January by Prime Minister Meloni together with the leaders of France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, Poland and Denmark.’ This was stated by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani during Question Time in the Senate. ‘At the same time, we share the legitimate security concerns of the United States, but we have always maintained that they should be addressed within the framework of the Atlantic Alliance, avoiding unilateral or confrontational approaches,’ he added.
