Milan, Jan 25 (LaPresse) – “These are public order issues. I don’t know whether there will be police forces from other countries to help with checks for anti-terrorism actions; that is normal. The Italian police also go abroad to cooperate with other police forces when there are security issues, so it wouldn’t surprise me. I don’t know if there are agreements, but when there are major international events there is always cooperation among police forces, precisely to prevent attacks, to see if there are ill-intentioned individuals, but this is normal.” This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on the sidelines of the event ‘More freedom, more growth’ in Milan, responding to those who asked him for a comment on the possible presence of U.S. ICE agents for the Milan-Cortina Olympics.
Milan-Cortina, Tajani: “ICE agents? I don’t know if there are agreements, but it wouldn’t surprise me”
