Rome, Feb. 6 (LaPresse) – Tiromancino release today their new album ‘Quando meno me lo aspetto’ via Emi Records Italy/Universal Music Italia. This is the 14th studio album by Tiromancino and comes led by the first single ‘Gennaio 2016’, an intense ballad with a strong singer-songwriter imprint much appreciated by both the public and critics, among the most played songs on the radio, and following the digital release on January 30 of ‘Sto da Dio’, a tribute to blues and freedom. The album includes eleven new tracks that combine lyrical depth and explorations into different musical genres: from blues to rock, from country to electronic, from reggae to the typical sounds of 1970s singer-songwriter music. Each track is part of a narrative that connects intimacy, fears, rebirth, late-summer nostalgia, and the denunciation of a world increasingly focused on appearances, leaving little room for passions and real feelings – a society that harms itself by creating yet another new star to burn – a system to which Zampaglione, Tiromancino’s frontman, feels “alien” and seeks a breath of freedom in the artistic dimension, dreaming of disappearing into the blues. In the lyrics of the songs “Una Vita” and “Gli alieni siamo noi” the collaboration between Federico Zampaglione and his father Domenico is renewed. About the album, Federico Zampaglione stated: “Quando meno me lo aspetto was born out of having to fight against someone who had no intention of doing so: myself. After so many years in music and as many albums… I thought I had given and received enough regarding the release of new albums. I was determined to focus only on live concerts, occasional singles, and film directing. Then, as often happens, life doesn’t care about your decisions and goes where it wants to go… and that’s how I almost playfully locked myself in the studio with Leo Pari and Simone Guzzino to give shape to songs I had written over time.”
