Security, Nordio: ‘I’m not afraid of a new Red Brigade, but let’s avoid a return to the Years of Lead’

Rome, 6 February (LaPresse) – ‘It’s not that I fear the return of the Red Brigades, but having had direct experience, 50 years ago, of the genesis of the Red Brigades, and of bad teachers who spoke of “comrades who make mistakes”, and of self-styled Red Brigades who in the end proved themselves to be what they were, let’s try to avoid returning to those Years of Lead’. So said Justice Minister Carlo Nordio on the sidelines of the inauguration of the judicial year for Italian criminal lawyers at the Quirino Theatre in Rome.
