Milan, February 6 (LaPresse) – Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni met today in Milan with US Vice President J.D. Vance. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. “The meeting,” reads a statement from Palazzo Chigi, “confirmed the strength of the strategic relationship between Italy and the United States, based on a historically rooted and articulated partnership, deep ties between the two peoples, and a shared view on major global challenges, starting with energy security and the creation of secure and reliable supply chains for critical minerals.” Meloni and Vance “also discussed key international policy issues, with particular reference to the latest developments in Iran and Venezuela,” the statement concluded.
