Milan, 20 February (LaPresse) – Matteo Berrettini beats Dusan Lajovic 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 in a comeback victory and becomes the second Italian after Fabio Fognini to reach at least two quarter-finals at the ATP tournament in Rio de Janeiro. With a record of 24 wins and 5 losses on clay since the start of the 2023 season, Berrettini will face 21-year-old Ignacio Buse (ATP 91) for the first time, who surprised home favourite Joao Fonseca (38) 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 to become the first Peruvian to reach the quarter-finals of an ATP 500 tournament.
